Anyone ever had a panic attack? well.. I have had anxiety MANY times, but its totally different. I didnt know what one was until the other day. It felt like someone was pushing on my chest. I wont go into too much detail, but I suffered this thing called tetnay, my hands lost control, closed shut, and I could barely spit out words because I couldnt feel my face. You know, like when your legs fall asleep, or your arms, well imagine that on your face!!! Hyperventilating, not enough potassium or C02 in the system does this. Its fucking scary. Anyways, im just happy im not dying and I dont have heart disease. This is what happens when you run 8 miles a week and surf all of the time and then just STOP. Stress accumulates fast! I blame my profession. I wish I had a mindless jobs sometimes.

take it easy JT! Maybe you the baby and wife sould get away for a long weekend or something.. you got too much to look forward to now to let job stress start affecting your health like that.

you should pick up one of those baby running strollers. i have one i bought used off of 2ndlight.com , it's a big one that holds 3 babies but me and my wife can both hold the big ass handlebar and run together, which is why i bought it; FAMILY AFFAIR!

I wouldn't wish those things on anyone.  I used to get them a long time ago when I was working with Grainger as an inventory consultant.  Working 80hr weeks and flying twice a week back n forth from what ever account I was working on averaging 100+k skymiles a year took its toll on me.  I remember the first attack was in that big mall in Palm Bch one weekend in the food court and I thought I was having a heart attack.  All I really remember is not being able to breath thinking OH SHIT and next thing I know I was outside waking up on a park bench.  I actually went to a Dr about it and they prescribed me all kinds of pills.  Xanax & klonopin(sp) but I hate pills so I never took them.  I ended up leaving that job and slowing my roll down a few notches and knock on wood I haven't had one in years! I remember the worst part is there was no predicting when I was going to have one..

So you know!!! I almost passed out like you. Thats awful.. Yeah... Consultants deal with sorting out other peoples problems! I have been doing consulting on the side for extra cash lately. Its just the nature of this job. No one is excited because their IP phone system stayed up all quarter, or all of their email was delivered timely. The klonipin? I just need surf and some sort of exercise. That stuff is a temporary solution.

^^ Hopefully this weekend we all will get our fill of waves, big, choppy, glassy, small I really don't care at this point! Those pills are hardcore.  I remember
doing admin stuff at my office and I had taken one and I had to go home and lay down it made me like a zombie.  Pills are not for me, like you said a temporary fix.
