Title: How long should it take
Post by: nuttjelly on September 28, 2010, 04:33:46 PM
to have your custom ordered board in your hands form a local craftsman after the order and deposit have been placed? Please advise.

Did you remember to put your phone number on the order form? :think2:

they probably saw that you put down nuttjelly instead of your real name and said, fuck him, we're keeping the money

I dunno...I just buy mine second hand from the guy who ordered it too small.

BTW, that board is still my favorite.

Three months for me.  I'll give you local, but craftsman is still up for debate.

It's inversely proportional to
the amount of money you put down.

One of the problems is shipping.
Container cargo from Taiwan takes forever.
You could airship but it would add $$.
Speak to your board service representative at Costco for details.

Mine took three weeks from the same shaper that stalled on Hollyweed. Go figure  :think2:

I have never had one ready in less than 6 weeks.  I'm not part of the "In Crowd" and I'm not a 2ndlight regular so I think my orders always get bumped to the bottom of the list behind rippers like you all.

I think the Mayo I ordered in May was done in about 5 weeks now that I think about it so that was probably the fastest one.

I think 6 weeks is not unreasonable.  3 to 4 weeks is fast.

If you wait 3 months for a custom board, then your shaper took your deposit and bought a bag of weed rather than your blank.

MAYBE..just maybe he'd sell you that board back.
But I'd doubt it.

You are such a DUMB FUCK.

I'm going to call my dad and tell him to cancel your order.

Your'e too stupid to have a custom surfboard.

How long ago was the board ordered?

Half my speedy delivery was due to the fact I don't like fancy paint or artwork on my boards. Also I should mention Tudor & Vader both told me to let the board cure for another week until I rode it. Unfortunately there were waves the next day and that theory went out the window.

I ordered a board from PatO it's been shaped and handed off. He shaped it quick!  I was just trying to get big rick to talk trash again. I dont care how long it takes.

Ok that is cool.  I was just checkin' because it really boils down to this:

Pat O is an East Coast Surf Legend.
You are a daryl from Lake Conway.
You are lucky that Pat even agreed to shape you a board.  Especially after the "crooked logo" incident.

lmao.....I'll tell my dad to get "off the balls." ;D

Let me ask you this Beachside Girl, how long should it take the finishing company to glass a board and put fins on it? :swordfight:

This whole thread was a joke anyway but if you work for Ricky would you see when dipshit's(nuttjelly's) board will be done.

It's the board with the crooked O'Hare Logo. :killpc:

2-3 weeks depending on our workload. sometimes longer if we're waiting on materials or specifics on a custom (cloth color for inlays, pictures for airbrushes, swatches for pigment matches) but that depends on diligence of the customer. we're set up for numbers so no one gets paid if boards aren't moving.

last i saw of the crooked lam board it was in the dumpster out back. sorry about your luck.

kidding. but i'll keep an eye out for it.
