Title: The Tragic 2014
Post by: jt on July 11, 2014, 09:16:13 PM
So... yeah... The Magic, they got rid of everyone. I never thought they would get rid of Jameer but I said the same about JJ Redick. Their highest paid player is Oladipo now? Crazy.

I heard some guy named Lebron went back to his hometown.  :monkey: blah

I used to really be a big fan. After seeing the organization continuously make poor judgement calls, I just lost interest. I could not tell you who is on or off the team and I have not watched a single game in a few years.

A team has to have some kind of chemistry and you can not force it to happen. Especially by trading out the promising players for a quick fix of some former super star in the sunset of their career. The last straw was when they traded out the rookie team that took them deep into the draw with Howard and Reddick.

As long as the same people are in top spots in the organization and making the picks; it is pretty hopeless.

The league is changing. Guys are no longer just going to the bigger markets due to "history". The magic cant get any worse so they can only get better. Their team is young now and should be a contender in a couple years if not sooner. I sort of like the new management. The last 3 GMs at the magic sucked. Otis wasnt too bad, but he dismantled the finals team too much, then made shotty deals with aging vets to get us in the finals.

Like I said, I bailed a while back so I would not even know who the new management is. I hope they do better. We have a great venue to watch some games and it would be nice to enjoy going down there again.

yes sir!
They are an evolving team right now.
As young and energetic as they are, they should be
winning a lot more but that still takes time.

Excited to see how everything turns out for the rest
of the season.

Jacque Vaughn kinda sucks though. 3 years now and making the same mistakes with different guys.

Riddnour is getting way too much playing time. Payton blows doors on him, and JV keeps making bonehead moves. They are lucky they won last night, mostly because the 76ers suck in the 4th quarter like the magic have been sucking in the 3rd.
