Right on Tim.  This is very cool.

While in SoCal recently it was easy to see why they locals there needed something to protect their access to waves...the coastline is covered with condos, mansions, shopping plazas, etc.  The only access is usually a small road or a small public parking lot littered with meters.  I see a little bit of that in our community but not nearly as bad.  I think we can keep that stuff at bay if we try and work with local legislators.

As for community outreach and education, I think that is paramount.  We have to educate people (kids especially) about how to protect our beaches and keep our water clean.  If we want it there for our kids to enjoy we have to teach them to care for it as we are only blessed to enjoy it temporarily.  After all it's like Chief Seattle put it: "There is no death, only a change of worlds."

Thats why the Charter Ammendment change was so important.  Pruett stepped up and held his ground  :clap  As for community outreach & education,
you couldnt have said it any better.  I just wish I could attend the meeting..
