Concrete Version of Surf Park???
« on: July 15, 2015, 06:58:25 PM »

Me and the boy decided to check out what is going on in the old Festival Bay (now Artegon) Shopping Center. A lot of changes have happened. Dating waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back to 2014, the owners have been promising a new park updated by Team Pain. They are saying it is coming in 2015.

We saw the old outside section of the park intact and a sign showing all of the things they are promising...Restaurants, pro shop, skate school, and skatepark of course.

Wonder if anyone knows what the hold up is and when this happen?

I miss being able to skate indoors.

I hear you. Getting injured is inevitable when you are skating parks a lot.

I skated the former vans park a couple of times. It was gnarly. Im not sure I would do that now.

The vert ramp they had inside was no joke.  I remember dropping in on it the first time and feeling like I was free falling.

i had a friend that dropped into that thing
and as he did, he bailed
turned around so fast that he grabbed the coping
and hung on for dear life.

and as i type this, i'm getting that same feeling from
being at the top of that ramp
