Rented District 9  as a kite last night and fell asleep in the first 30 minutes.  Is it worth
getting again? From what I recall it wasn't that good...

oh yeah, go see avatar in 3d
bad as fuck!
I finally saw it last night ~ I LOVED IT, gonna buy this one

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKOZYTw2Tag

you want to know why avatar isn't making the same numbers here in america as it is in other parts of the world?

because EVERYONE is a freakin movie critic and sits on a high horse....

people are telling me, "im not gonna watch that movie... i'd just be jumping on the band wagon"

i watch at MOST 3 movies a year in the theater and thats only because i don't really want to be a fifth wheel or go by myself to the movies and it stinks when everyones talking about something and i just sit there all quiet n shit

but the fact that people are so uppity about a damn movie before they watch it is ridiculous...

i have a friend that i KNOW would love that movie....

you know what his excuse is, "i don't want to pay $30 to go see that piece of crap"

WHAT!?

he will not pay money to see that but he will goto the movies to see crank 1 & 2, download the movie, then actually buy it on blue ray AFTER he had purchased it on DVD already**...

if i could, i would take him and his wife to see this movie because he's cheap like that sometimes

i mean, this guy has two of those 1994 CD towers that stands 4ft tall and just has DVD after DVD stocked in those bad boys and plans on upgrading every movie he can to blue ray although he has watched all of those movies 12 times over so him not being able to justify

**he didn't have a blue ray player when he purchased the movies the first time

Saw avatar two weekends ago
Special effects 5/5
Story 1/5
The story was just kind of lame and had been done before, guess he shouldn't have taken 9 years to make the film. It might have been original

Inglorious Bastards = Fail....Too slow, and subtitles annoy me to no end. Action was sparse. [trailer suggests an action packed movie]

I got it but I havent watched it yet... Well, being its a Tarintino flick, you know its gonna have TONS of dialogue over anything else. Resevoir dogs, is mostly dialogue. Most of the scenes take place in only a few different places too.

Since Ive had alot of TV time ive watched:

Tears of the Sun 3 / 5 something about having the guy from top gun standing on a carrier made it cheesey
Angels and Demons 4 / 5 great film, just a little too long
Earth 4 / 5 too much of "the earth as we know it is going to end" shit...

inglorious bastards 4/5, it does have some slow parts but I thought it was entertaining.

the hangover 3/5, not as good as the hype lead it to be, not as many LOLs as say... step brothers

Step Brothers SUCKED in my opinion.  So many of my friends hyped it up so big there was no
way it could have met my expectations.  Hangover is the funniest movie out since Super Bad.

Inglorious Bastards is just a good way to kill time.  Cool idea though; Invite Hitler and his crew to a movie and blow
the damn place up !!

Speaking of shitty movies I'm watching Money Train right now... Did they ever catch Wesley Snipes?

Nobody has anything on District 9 ?

lol! Why would you even attempt to watch that one? Superbad, where that fat kid getting any sort of trim is about as plausible as seth rogan knocking up katherine heigl.

District9 I heard was just OK...

I think people go into tarintino flicks with high expectations of it being like one of his previous movies. I remember when Jackie brown came out people thought it was gonna be like pulp fiction. I hope they do another kill bill.

HBO is soon to release a new mini-series that continues the "Band of Brothers" [Hanks/Spielberg] tribulations during WWII.

Called: "Pacific"

There are a few trailers out already.

I hope it is of the quality that the original series was.

Or about as plausible as me running into two cops on duty as cool as that!! Funny right after I mentioned Wesley Snipes I saw a movie coming out with him in in it called Brooklyn something.... Guess he paid his taxes!

The cops were the funniest thing in that movie. "I like carrying a gun, its like having two cocks"

I always forget Wesley "always bet on black" Snipes is an Orlando resident. I saw him once MANY years ago in downtown, and I once saw Ken Griffey Jr with his kid in fashion square mall. random!
