Darylikt Boats in our rivers!!!
« on: October 01, 2008, 05:20:08 PM »

Just saw a segment on Channel Nine News about all of the derelict vessels left to rot in our waters and aren't held as accountable to the owners for reclamation or salvage. It's tax payers $$$ going towards this effort. The number of abandoned vessels just grew exponentially after the last couple of storms this season.

Sounds like a good cause to chase to fruition.  :swordfight:

What say yee?

Looks like a guy in merritt island set up camp on one of those derelict vessels.  Anybody seen that?  Not sure if CB surfrider will want to take this on yet but you should bring it up at the next meeting.

Yes, lots of daryls sleep on them at night. I'd be afraid of silverfish crawling into my mouth. Or worse...

Yeah on 520 heading towards CB, there is a beached sailboat and there are people that live on it.

I don't understand why the people that owned the boat originally, that got PAID by their insurance company for the damages or paid off completely, won't/didn't remove the boat from the water! Some people just don't care!!

I feel like borrowing a jetski and getting all of the numbers off the hauls of the boats (pictures too) and having them "run" to see who owns them. I'd love to contact the insurance companies or people that own them now. I'd love to give them a piece of my mind.
