Man, that is pretty sad Roost... Suicide is something that no one who knew the person could ever understand.  Tragic.

And all these posts... I was going to reply to the first two posts but this post just kept going on and on.  I truely wish the best for everyone who has had something happen to a family member or friend.

Well I hit the nail on the head with it being awkward. NOBODY even made eye contact with his "wife". She was starving for attention and when she got up to speak 3/4 of us left. Don't think this was mean on our part please, just too much typing to go in such detail. I spoke with his mother and she is one of the sweetest women I have ever met. It was heartbreaking to feel her pain.

Im good thanks for asking.  We all went up to Fridays which was his spot after work and we all had a shot and a beer like we all used to do.  Then
I broke the news to the bartender when she asked where he was.  That was a good venting time for all of us real friends he had.  The memorial had
a horrific fake feeling to it other then his Mom.  I am still pissed off, but she will get hers somewhere down the road, karma is a bitch.

Ol grandad is 94 and doing poorly.  In the hospital with double pneumonia. They had tu put in a feeding tube for nourishment.  Hospice is coming in most likely.  Then gran goes into cardiac arithmia from the stress.  Getting ops SUCKS.

Today I bought a battery for the Saturn and put it in, took it and put gas in it and even washed it and filled up the tires.  It felt strange driving the car-ut was like being transported to the past. I looked on the floor board and saw these fliers from the last weekend that my son and I spent with my father.  It had been almost a year since I drove the car.  Before my father passed away I was hurting for money and after he passed on, I started driving his car because it saved me from spending the money for repairs that were needed on the Saturn.  Money that if I spent, it would have crippled me.  Now it is a little over a year later and I needed to put the Mustang in the shop and I easily bought the parts I needed and got the car back in action.  So much has changed during this time. I am engaged, back in school, and hardly think about when my next pay check comes in.  My situation is completely different.  Just like bad things can happen in your life, your life can just as easily improve.

I wish that Roosterjaws friend could have seen this.

I also feel for you LHL.  It is hard dealing with aging family members and worse when someone is sick at the same time.

Waiting fot Gadot.........

They have moved grandad to the Hospice home in Ocala.  They are saying he will pass anytime.  I hate waiting for the call!

Ol' Bob Raitt was born in 1916.  I have been thinking of all the things he has seen and done over the years.  Crazy changes to our way of life and culture.

Sorry man. Im sort of going through the same thing. My grandmother has been on hospice for about a year now and while I was in costa she refused to take her oxygen and blood pills, so now she is jondis and lethargic. :(

My grandmother passed a couple years ago and then my grandfather went about a month later. It was heavy. Just because its inevitable never makes it bearable. I know. Just talking about it here makes me feel uneasy.
