Wow!  That sounds like an outstanding trip.
I read the 16streets handbook and it says
you are hereby required to take and post pics.

We're looking at a rail to trail ride up in Georgia to get out of the heat.
Maybe too late by now though.

9r you were a land surveyor? My father is a PLS and I have quite a bit of time in the field was an instrument man for a bit. It's a neat field. Maybe SHADOW will chime in and tell a super funny story about a "sketchy forum member" that had a survey job for a bit. Its a funny story

Surveying is fun but I'm an environmental guy.  I can survey a little,
but only if you're not too particular about things like
distances, elevations, benchmarks ....
GPS is an amazing thing!

Kayak'd the Suwannee River in the Lafayette blue springs area. Fished the river but got skunked, I was on the wrong end of the front that moved thru, it got really cold up there especially this 9AM 33 degrees.  We sort of camped, a squirrel obsessed friend turned me on to what our State parks have to offer with lodging and its very nice! I owe him a bag-o-nuts.
The river was in a brownout phase and the level was high and the current was moving pretty quick.  We paddled against it for a few miles and it was tough but she got pissed and got after it, I was proud of the warden.

i'll post some pics when Rooster Jaws reminds me how, there are some super cool sink holes up there, they just call them "sinks" up there, which makes sense.
