I somehow missed the documentary for the Dogtown and Z-boys but this would be just as great! I hope it comes here too.

The Search For Animal Chin was a pretty good video too.

After the Bones Brigade video came out...I became the biggest fan of The Youth Brigade. That part of the video was classic.

Wow, Danny Way and Mike V. both looked so young.  All those guys were my heroes when I was a kid.

I loved animal chin, but in 88? when public domain came out, my only goal in life was to skate like mike V. That and that natas movie. I broke the tape on those! Ive said that before I think.

Tons of dates but not a one close to Florida.

I wonder if Tim could rally up some people to put pressure on them to make an appearance at one of the several hundred skating facilities in Florida. Maybe they don't want to rile up Alan Gelfand!

They said they are thinking of bringing it to Florida and that it should be made available to purchase come November.

I also watched a video on YouTube about Mark "Gator" Rogowski. Sad tale.

"Guy was wick wick wack."

Ya think?!!

"He admitted to coming up behind her and hit her in the head with a Club (a metal auto anti-theft device). After knocking her semi-unconscious by way of several strikes, he handcuffed her and dragged her to his bedroom on the second floor and raped her while shackled to his bed.[1] Afterward, he placed her in a surfboard bag because he was concerned about the neighbors hearing the noise. He placed his hand over her mouth until she stopped breathing. He then drove out to the Shell Canyon desert to bury her body in a shallow grave."

I need to see the Christian Hosoi video.

I was just amazed at how nuts and detached Mark was. Before the killing, which probably cemented his weirdo status, the other stuff just made me shake my head. Like how he punched a kid in Australia and punched 2 cops. That guy needed prison time/mental counseling years before his demise.

Kind of reminds me of A.I. in a weird way. Had enough company backing with deep pockets to clean up his problems (legally at least but not personal). The coddling was a vehicle to continue his destructive behavior.

I met Christian Hosoi on 3 separate occasions.  The most recent was in Huntington Beach, CA a few years ago.  He was skating the downtown area with a few of his buds and they were beyond cool.  He is a very personable and polite guy and somehow humble despite everything.

And yes, even in his 40's he still rips!
