Postponed.

They were having all kinds of issues.   Nothing they can't work out though, he'll probably get it done tomorrow.

Amazing!  The initial drop was awesome (the first 5-10 seconds), he dropped faster than I expected.  Then I thought he was f@#ked when he started rolling but he came out of it easily.
His mom was so relieved when she heard his voice, that was really cool. Can you imagine your kid jumping from 28 miles up?

Colonel Joe Kittinger was fucking up left and right with the wind direction on the way down (after the parachute was deployed) but him being there, being the only guy talking to Felix was kind of a cool story in itself.

No. He was spinning pretty hard. He did get an amazing view of our planet without being an astronaut.

I almost stopped by your house today Sean, but I didnt want to surprise visit on a Sunday afternoon near dinner time. I was visiting a friend who lives on 27th.

Was that Col Joe going over the check list with him? Those spins were intense, esp going 750mph!

it was bad ass.
I'm gonna have to do spins in the Cessna 172, not really looking forward to it, but it's all about knowing how to get out of them in case someone puts you in one. Looks like he was prepared.

edit- ill be doing 85-95knts not 500-700

Bump......I freaking met Colonel Joe today at Orlando executive, it was cool. He is having the fighter jet he flew in combat mission placed at his park next to the airport. Got to talk to him for a bit, fortunate for that

That is pretty cool. Tell him to resurrect down town again too. I want to go to Jungle Jim's and drink from a plastic elephant leg cup.

I used to love Jungle Jims! They had one next to the movie theaters in Merritt Isl. back in the day.  I took down the manhunter challenge as a youth, but they didn't give me credit because I took the pickles off the burger lol

What cheap bastards!

My friend worked at the Olive Garden that used to be upstairs in Church Street so we would always run to J.J.s to get a drink before setting off for The Edge or some other dump.

The days of wine and roses.

That is a funny show to see unannounced! Southern Grunge!

I used to love that place in the day...Now it makes me sad. It is either the quasi-goth types that these days are more like people putting on a costume (like bike week) or worse; older people I know who are still playing goth and they are 55 and go every week for 30 years straight.

I will pass.
