I saw that last night...what a shame.  It appears to be more of a decision on the part of the festival organizers and not so much something the city had any real say in.

I will say I enjoyed going to it, it was fun to ride our bikes down and mog around for a bit and I am sure it brought a nice little economic influx for the city but at the end of the day I wonder how much art was actually sold during the event?

My grandmother had a hand in getting the art festival started in CB.

That's really cool.  I wonder how much it grew from the time she was involved in the first shows to recent years.  I know just in the time I have lived in CB ('98-ish) it had grown a ton.  Last year you could hardly get around unless you went early in the morning.
