Hurricane forecast came out and is predicted to be a quiet year.  You know what that means..... I have to buy a generator this year. I can't afford to lose thousands in my fish tank with a severe power outage.  :fishy:

I really do not care much about the amount that are predicted. I really want to know where they think the Bermuda High will camp out. It just takes one!

So how about an idea on things we need...besides water and beer.

Tap lights are handy for when the power takes a dive. Just put em down and turn them on.

I usually stock up on the usuals (batteries, water, etc.) but yes, tap lights are awesome!  Better than candles and the batteries in those little things last a long time!

I need to get my generator in working order...had it running last year but haven't tried it yet this year.

Is wax in the preparedness list? Unprepared without wax on hurricane swell.

Dan, since you rarely use a generator the best way to keep in in good working order is to drain the fuel, then run it until it quits. This will make sure all the fuel is out of the engine, leaving fuel in it for months at a time causes the problems. Its a good method for any long term engine storage.
